Profile picture rings for your X photo
A profile picture ring is a frame drawn around your own photo. It shows up everywhere your photo does: next to every post, every reply and every like notification. People notice a photo that changed, which makes a ring one of the cheapest ways to say something on X without posting. Orbit Cards has 40, in three kinds.
Try one now: paste your X handle above for a ring around your own photo, free and without signing in. The free rings carry orbitcards.app inside the band, so it stays visible after X crops your photo to a circle.
Rings with a number
Follower club names the biggest club you're in, from #100 club to #1M club. Follower odometer shows your count on rolling counter wheels, Laurel wreath on a gold ribbon. Posting streak and On fire show your longest run of posting days, and Night owl your busiest late hour. Every number comes from your read. Follower club, Posting streak and Night owl aren't offered when your read can't back them up.
Labels you choose
Building in public, Open to collabs and Shipping every week put a short statement on a coloured band. We're hiring adds “DM @you” all the way round, and Certified human stamps “100% not a bot” on the corner.
Rings for a moment
Spooky season and Holiday wreath are for the time of year, Launching Dec 1 counts down to a launch, and New pfp sticker tells people why you look different. My orbit circles your photo with your eight closest people.
Putting it on
Download the ring as a 400×400 image, the profile photo size X recommends, and upload it in Edit profile on X. X shows profile photos as a circle, so the rings keep their bands and words inside it. Keep your original photo; switching back is one more upload. Every ring comes in three looks.
Questions
What size is an X profile picture?
An X profile picture should be 400×400 pixels. X shows it as a circle, so anything in the square's corners is cut off. Orbit Cards exports every profile ring at 400×400 with the ring drawn inside that circle, so the frame and its text stay visible on your profile, in replies and in search.
Does Orbit Cards change my profile photo for me?
No. Orbit Cards only has read access to your X account, so it can't change your profile photo. You download the finished ring as a 400×400 PNG, JPG or WebP, then open Edit profile on X and upload it as your new photo. Switching back to your old photo works the same way.
Can I make a ring with a follower count I don't have?
No. Rings that show a number use your read: the follower club is the biggest you've reached and the streak is your real longest run, and those rings aren't offered when the read can't back them up. Rings like Building in public or Open to collabs are labels you choose; they show no number and nothing on them is checked.
Whose photo is in the ring?
Your own. A profile ring is drawn around the profile photo on your X account at the time of your read, so it looks like you with a frame. The My orbit ring also adds small photos of the eight people you talk with most, placed around the edge of the ring.
